Venue access information

The Circle is our accessible level as it is reached through the foyer at street level without any steps. Once in the Circle there are steps involved getting to every seat except for M13-16 & M37-40

The Stalls are down 4 flights of stairs
The Balcony is up 2 flights of stairs.

Regrettably, we do not have a lift.

Full details relating to the number of steps to each seat, hand rails etc. can be found on our website by hovering above individual seats on the seating plan.

Guide Dogs

Guide dogs are welcome in the auditorium or alternatively Front of House staff can look after them for the duration of the performance. Please advise a member of the access team when booking.

Greenside Lane Bistro

Our bistro, situated in the Boards is accessed via a separate entrance to the right of the Box Office. There are 3 flights of stairs (a total of 25 steps) and there is a banister/hand rail the full way up.

In order to get to Circle level from The Boards, there are 2 flights of stairs (23 steps in total). It is worth noting that the last 4 steps down to the foyer do not have a hand rail although it is likely that there will be Front of House staff in the foyer who can offer assistance.

Accessible Bars and Toilets

The Circle Bar, on the right hand side of the foyer, is accessible. There is a unisex accessible toilet within the Circle Bar. Wheelchairs and mobility scooters can be stored in this bar during a performance.

Seinheisser Headsets

On arrival, please notify the door staff that you require a headset and a member of staff will bring one to you. We will ensure the headsets are set to the right channel as amplifying the sound and audio description are on the same headsets. The only adjustment that might need to be made is to the volume on the headset. All headsets must have the writing facing the stage as this picks up the signal.

At Seat Service

We offer a free at-seat service from a short menu of drinks and snacks, which can either be ordered on the day of your visit in advance using the ATG app, or can be ordered at the theatre either before the show or during the interval. If you are seated in the Stalls or Circle you will find a menu on the back of the seat in front of you. Simply wave it in the air and a member of staff will come to you. If you are seated in the Balcony and would like to take advantage of this service, please ask a member of staff.
